Introduction to Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility KA107 Unipi

 

The Erasmus + program has extended its range of action to non-European Countries trying to give opportunities to individuals and organizations from other parts of the world. Therefore, through the International Credit Mobility action – KA 107, European higher education institutions can apply to their National Agencies to carry out mobility projects with partners from other continents, in order to send and receive students, doctorate students, administrative and teaching staff, with the aim of acquiring skills, supporting individual and common professional development and deepening the understanding of foreign cultures. Furthermore, these projects also aim to increase the competence, attractiveness and international dimension of the participating organizations.

Our University has worked to increase the number of exchanges of both intra-European and extra-European students and academic staff,  to develop a common   curriculum,  to cooperate on training and to look for talented students, to recruit  international students, to create a strategic partnerships, in order to make an institutional alliances both with other Higher Education Institutions and with private company to perceived  actions expected to build competences in the higher education sector with both European and non-EU partners.

In this context, since the launch of the KA 107 action, the University of Pisa has worked to increase the number of both students and academic staff exchange with the non-European partners involved, to develop a common   curriculum, to cooperate on training and to look for talented students, to create a future strategic partnerships and institutional alliances. Therefore, thanks to this action, our University has been able to carry out mobility projects in line with its internationalization strategy and has so far had a successful partnership with more than 50 non-European institutions.
